For years the annual Halloween concerts were the band’s own holiday. They were held in the Los Angeles area — Irvine Meadows and the Universal Amphitheatre are the two names that come up most — and they became a fixture of the local calendar rather than just another date on a tour.
That is also how the band chose to finish. The farewell run ended on Halloween night in 1995 at the Universal Amphitheatre, and the show was filmed and released the following year. What happened that night.
So when people search for an Oingo Boingo Halloween show, they are usually remembering something specific and gone. What exists now is the Halloween-week run played by Oingo Boingo Former Members — and in 2026 the night itself lands in Napa.
